Marcin Kuczma has been awarded the Main Dickstein Prize of the Polish Mathematical Society for his great contribution to popularizing mathematics, especially great job in Polish
Mathematical Olympiad, "Club 44" in the Polish monthly "Delta", and his
articles and notes concerning mathematical problems.

This is a very prestigious prize.
The Polish Mathematical Society gives three kinds of Main Prizes: Banach Prize (for achievements in pure mathematics), Steinhaus Prize (for achievements in applied mathematics) and Dickstein Prize (for achievements concerning mathematical culture, i.e. history of mathematics, popularization of mathematics and didactics/teaching).
The Dickstein Prize is given once for two years period. The first laureate was Stefan Straszewicz, the creator of the Polish Mathematical Olympiad. Marcin is 24th laureate of this Prize.
